What we store
VideoLinksVault stores bookmarks — URLs, titles, tags, visibility, an NSFW flag, and collection membership — not the video files themselves. Playback embeds or resolves from the original host. If you create an account we also store your email, a display name, avatar, profile theme HTML, friend connections, groups you join, collection shares you issue, and photos you upload. Guest browsing of public SFW pages is possible after the age gate; capturing or saving requires a free membership.
Age gate
We store a first-party cookie (vlv_age_ok) so we do not ask again. It is not identity verification. Known search and unfurl crawlers skip the interstitial so public SFW pages can be indexed; they never receive NSFW HTML.
Ads
The site is free and supported by display, in-feed, sidebar, and video-companion ads. There is no paid or PRO tier. Public pages use clean inventory only. Adult inventory may appear inside a signed-in private library when you are watching an NSFW item you saved or were granted.
Public vs private
Public bookmarks are visible in search, trending, recommendations, and your public profile — including to people who are not your friends. NSFW bookmarks cannot be public. Private bookmarks are visible only to you unless you explicitly share that collection or post it to an NSFW/private group the other member belongs to. Adding someone as a friend does not reveal private or NSFW items. Public SFW groups are listed on /groups; NSFW groups never appear there.
